Vancouver Island Race Series adopts KidSport BC as Charity of Choice
The Vancouver Island Race Series has adopted KidSport BC as its charity of choice as of December 3, 2024. All funds donated will be directed to KidSport BC and then dispersed to each of the island community branches where series races take place.
Series participants can optionally donate when registering for races at the series digital shopping cart located at Race Roster. Visit http://www.islandseries.org/register/ to register and or donate.
About KidSport
At KidSport we believe sport powers kids. Getting in the game ignites a sense of belonging, shapes character, fuels better health, builds confidence and unleashes potential. But the cost of registration fees can be a barrier for many families.
KidSport—with support from generous donors—helps remove those barriers by providing funding for families in financial need to help cover the cost of sport registration fees #SoALLKidsCanPlay!
With local chapters across the province, funding for KidSport helps shapes sport in over 200 communities each year. Each chapter—most of which are completely volunteer-run—raises funds, accepts applications, and distributes grants in its own community. For communities that don’t have a local chapter, grant requests are supported through the BC Provincial Chapter.
